During my interview with Katya Zamolodchikova, she talked about self-reflection and over-analyzation while dating. Interesting stuff—but not best for headlines. I knew the client (PEOPLE magazine) would want something to draw readers.
So I asked her what her dating “ick” was, a question that I knew would translate well to a headline. I was correct: the client loved the angle. I delivered the goods.
“I’ve always been hyperaware, perhaps too self-conscious about myself. The [podcast] allowed me to relax a little bit and have a healthy sense of self-reflection and consideration for other people in the sexual arena.”
